Ok, so lets face it !, who likes cars but doesn't like Karting ???
I am definitely a big fan and this is my page for anything kart related.
All racing drivers have spent time go karting and it provides
excellent fun and driver training. It is also one of the cheap"er" (still not
cheap) ways to get into racing at an amateur level !
The St Eval track is very very good with some good overtaking
points and a flyover. The best thing to do here is to get a group together and
do a "Grand Prix" where you get a practise session, qualifying, and then a race
with full printouts and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Last place usually gets a surprise gift too !!!

Kartworld has a smaller track but it is quite bumpy which makes it fun and the
long sweeping straight leads you to some really good twists and turns where the
fast drivers shine !
The rumour is that there will be some NIGHT karting going on here soon !
Keep an eye on their website for details...
Some of the other places I have visited include
The Michael Schumacher Kart Center in Germany, and Lille Karting in France.
This venue includes an indoor and outdoor track. Here I preferred the indoor
track but it was raining quite a lot and although I was impressed that they had
wet tires with tread (first time I had see/used those on a kart) I just wanted
to use the slicks !!! Drifting on the wet tyres was actually very hard and I was
amazed as to how much grip they could find !! Under steer was an issue though
and you had to nail it to the corner and stamp on the brake and power on but
unfortunately the power to keep it going was just not there...
Without ANY doubt the BEST
karting centre I have seen, or been to, is...

There is an indoor (600m) and outdoor (900m)
track and they are both of the highest quality but the outdoor one is AMAZING
!!!
The 390cc Karts have a LOT of power and even have the ability to "power
over" which I have never seen/experienced before...
The whole setup (parking,facilities,price,tracks,karts)
was amazing and they even offer 24 hour endurance racing (2 or 3 drivers per
kart) !!!!
I must go back one day...
This European chap (http://www.ringmini.de)
Was one of the first people to put a superbike engine into a gokart.
He is a complete legend around the world and can be found at the Nurburgring (I
think he lives there/nearby) often in one of his classic mini's most of which
have Honda power !.
